TRIBUNE: Widespread poverty means revolt incomplete, says UNA
The promises of the Edsa revolt of 1986 remain far off from fulfillment as poverty continued to afflict the majority of Filipinos, members of UNA senatorial ticket said yesterday. Maceda said, "We have to work double time to achieve the promise of Edsa for a full democratic state devoid of government abuse and neglect." As for UNA senatoriable Jack Enrile, the spirit of Edsa should come in the form of more food, not fanfare.
