Nothing prevents the President, and anyone else, us included, from believing Padaca is innocent, and that the whole thing against her is nothing but politics. But the law does not allow the President to appoint anyone in office, who is facing a criminal charge in court. Therefore the President was acting in CULPABLE VIOLATION of the law when he made her "appointment." The constitution does not envisage anyone being nominated for any office while facing a criminal case, and using that nomination to claim immunity from an existing suit. That is the pickle the President has created for Padaca and for himself.

What is "DAANG MATUWID"? It is claiming the gains reaped from hard work of the intelligent predecessor. It is blaming all the hardships caused by ineptness of the present admin to the past admin. It is washing dirty linen in public and abroad. It is throwing all diplomatic finesse down the drain and implying that the host country fed him spoiled food. It is persecuting everyone associated with the person he deems responsible for his family's losses in real estate. It is denouncing everything that the past admin sought to address and improve and falsely accusing them of every  unimaginable sin, only to be the same ppl that they denounced by appointing lackeys who are so hungry for power and money. It is all about destroying hard earned reputations even at the cost of life. So many definitions of "DAANG MATUWID". Care to add?
