while it is clear that the Ombudsman did not find anything substantial re cgma plunder case - its downgrading to a week graft charge is a just a ploy to justify issuance of HDO to keep the arroyos from leaving the country just in case their cases won't prosper in courts. hindi halata, PERO HALATANG HALATA!
First cong tupas admits some of the 188 congressmen didn't read impeachment complaint. Then defense sec gazmin sympathizes with AGFO resolution against trial by publicity of palparan. Now sandiganbayan scolds ombudsman for not finishing prelim investigation of election sabotage charge before filling it. Here's hoping that due process and the justice system will continue to stand up for human rights and the constitution and not put an end to the budding tyranny of the combined yellow and red armies under pnoy.
The finding of the sandiganbayan that the filling of the graft case against pgma et al was premature since the ombudsman did not finish the prelim investigation before filling the case is another clear indication of this admin's penchant for shortcuts and disregard of due process and rights just to make sure pgma is further denigrated in eyes of the public.
In 1958 Cory's family got behest loan guaranteed by phil govt to buy Hacienda Luisita on the condition that the lands will be given to farmers after 10 years. They did not distribute the lands after 10 years. Marcos declared land reform, the Aquino-Cojuanco clan refused to give the lands. Marcos filed case but was exiled after edsa coup d etat. Cory became pres and exempted Hacienda from land reform. In 2005 Gloria M. Arroyo filed case to nulify stock option and to distribute land of hacienda luisita. The Supreme Court in oct 2011 ruled that stock option illegal, Hacienda lands must be given to farmers. That's why GMA was arrested and Corona impeached. AQUINO COJUANCO CLANS ARE DEVILS of Phil society!
PHILSTAR - atty ferdie topacio - The Arroyo camp has urged the SC justices not to be intimidated by the recent impeachment of Chief Justice Renato Corona. "It is our fervent hope that the recent events involving the rushed impeachment of Chief Justice Renato Corona will not intimidate the other members of the Supreme Court into toeing the line of the executive department under President Aquino, and that the justices of the highest court will remain 'at the chill and distant heights'...," their lawyer Ferdinand Topacio said.

MANILA STANDARD: Lower remittances seen REMITTANCES, the economy's saving grace last year as a result of the government's lackluster spending, will grow more slowly this year because of the economic crisis abroad, the World Bank says. The money sent home by the Filipinos abroad fuel household spending, supports the services sector, and keeps the country's balance of payments in surplus. But the volumes will increase by only 3 percent this year and 5 percent next year, slower than the 6-percent growth projected last year, the Bank says.
