If there is not enough money for anti-poverty programs,
1. Why does the govt give tax perks worth P90B a year to profitable businesses? And not collect P160B from rich professionals who evade taxes?
2. Why not collect P25B in "sin taxes"?
3. Why close our eyes to legislator's commissions from public works project of P20B to P40B a year?
4. Why allow the rich to avail themselves of subsidy programs for the poor (National Food Authority and Pag-Ibig Fund)?
This system of privilege bleeds the budget for t he poor.
Tama ba na ubusin ni PNoy ang oras nya sa pagganti kay CGMA at CORONA!!! Hmmmm

We are poor because we are a country of contradictions (by Christian Monsod)
1. We are an agrarian economy but we import rice and other agri product;
2. We have abundant fishery resources but we have dwindling fish harvest;
3. Our coco industry has earned billions of pesos but our coco farmers are poor;
4. Our workers are among the best but don't have security of tenure in their own country;
5. We have huge mineral resources but poverty incidence is highest in the mining sector;
6. The indigenous people who used to own land are now land-poor;
7. We have some of the best social justice and empowerment laws but corrupted govt officials, judicial rulings that victimize the poor.
The big question is "can Pres. Aquino's administration truly provide the transformational leadership the country badly needs?" Hmmmmm

mupas Ive so gma cant ask for new year at home - Sinadya yan! Benggadora talaga! Parang di mga Kristyano! Whatever happened after 25 years since EDSA revolution, sayang lang pag ra rally namin nuon, where are we on that promise on liberation from the heavy hand of martial rule. Mas grabe pa today, it is not only guns that kill, poverty kills us slowly from hunger, diseases that we thought no longer existed. We, Filipinos are dying of dignity!!! To PNoy, your promises of a new day for us, remains a promise, forget about impeachment of CJ Corona and your vindictive mind, we want reforms that will put foods on our tables!!!
Ernesto Maceda's Column Today (phil star), accurately enumerates and describes the Crimes being committed everyday under PNOY'S ADMIN/WATCH. "NO HOLIDAY FOR CRIME" of Ernie must be expanded, replicated, disseminated, and distributed in the Form of "REAL PERFORMANCE SURVEY" or "TRUE STATE OF THE NATION"...
Where is the Public Outrage in the Pardon of a convicted British Drug Pusher! Why are the Parents, NGO's, Church silent on the Pardon and Voluntary "Escape" of a convicted Alien Drug Pusher - convicted by the Courts after great Expense by the Gov't? Where is the Public Outrage over the SENDONG's wake due to Criminal Negligence and pure Incompetence! Where is the Public Outrage over the Massacre of Phil soldiers in Mindanao by enemies of the State! Where is the Public Outcry by the "Cause-oriented Groups"? Where is the Public Outrage on the Customs Containers! WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY?
PNOY continues to FAIL miserably in his duty to implement the Laws by his delayed, poor response to SENDONG Tragedy resulting in deaths to thousand; the Failed rescue of Honkong hostages which resulted in many deaths; the unsolved/unpunished Acts of Massacre of many Phil. soldiers in Mindanao by rouge rebels; thousand of deaths and shattered lives caused by DRUG TRAFFICKING AND PUSHERS; unsolved and unpunished Acts of SMUGGLING and disappearance of thousands of un-taxed Containers, etc, etc!
CONVICTED British Drug Trafficker Pardoned by Pnoy: "AN INSULT TO ANTI-DRUG/NARCOTICS PROGRAM: PNOY's Pardon of a Drug Pusher imposed as a Mandatory Condition that the convicted British Drug Pusher will voluntarily go home to Britain to escape further punishment under Phil. Criminal Justice! What a Joyous Victory for convicted Drug Pushers granted by PNOY! This Pardon is an insult to the Anti-DRUG Campaign of the Parents of children and VICTIMS of Drug Abuse!"
The role/duty of the PRES. and the EXEC. Branch is to render basic services to the People! The deaths still mounting due to SENDONG and the Negligence, Slow and Inadequate Response of the National gov't is a Failure of PNOY - who will make him accountable - the Buck Stops with PNOY in SENDONG Tragedy!...
IT IS NOT PNOY'S MANDATE TO REFORM THE JUDICIARY. IT IS THE JUDICIARY THAT SHOULD REFORM ITSELF. HE SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON INTRODUCING REFORMS AT THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH AND NOT MEDDLE OR IMPOSE ON CO-EQUAL BRANCHES. HIS MONARCHIAL ACTIONS DESTROY THE VERY ESSENCE OF DEMOCRACY THAT OUR HEROES FOUGHT FOR AND DIED FOR. YET HE SEEMS TO BE POWERLESS AND IN HIDING WHEN DISASTER STRIKE.
DZMM TELERADYO:
SC Associate Justice Serafin Cuevas, Atty. Jacinto Jimenez, Atty. German Lichauco II, Atty. Ernesto Francisco Jr. at Atty. Dennis Manalo, Atty.

IT'S AS STUPID AS WE CAN GET!
INQUIRER - Pres. Benigno Aquino III granted on December 21 the conditional PARDON to British national William Robert Burton who was convicted DRUG TRAFFICKER! While drug mules, pusher convicted, not alledged are EXECUTED in other countries, the Philippines pardon drug mules and pusher convicted, not alledged. What a GENEROUS country, wide open invitation to drug pusher and mule to ply their trade here. DAANG MATUWID -, DRUG PUSHERS pina-PARDON!.

President Aquino announced that he will hold local officials responsible for the tragedy that has killed 1,249 persons so far as Cagayan de Oro (674) victims and Iligan City (448) fatalities. And if top officials of ARMM, DENR and PNP are responsible, shouldn't the President also accept responsibility? The buck stops at the President's desk. In blaming CDO Mayor Vicente Emano and Iligan Mayor Lawrence Cruz, he may just be pointing one finger at himself!

"They say that impeachment is nothing but a political process, to be decided on the basis of public opinion, not on the basis of the evidence. If that were the case, then the Senate should have no role in it." "The case should be put to the people in a referendum, which should tell us what the 'public opinion' is, so long as everyone participates and the process is not rigged." "But that is not what the Constitution says. Impeachment is a constitutional process. The Senate tries and decides all impeachment cases, on the basis of the evidence, not on the basis of party line or personal sentiment of the 'judges.'

"In making the congressmen sign an unread document in exchange for certain tangible gifts, P-Noy unduly risked his political reputation for being previously incorrupt. Critics see him now as the first corruptor of Congress. "In their view, he has made himself impeachable in the very act of impeaching the Chief Justice. He, rather than Corona, should be the one impeached for culpable violation of the Constitution, bribery, corruption, betrayal of public trust and other high crimes."

SWS - Survey Whitewashing Stupidities it's not unusual anymore that every time pnoy govt slips and make errors that SWS comes to the rescue to drumbeat in compare pnoy's high ratings and cgma's lows. is SWS now a govt funded agency? then, of course, methodically, pulse asia, a "kapamilya" survey group, is expected to follow suit and supplement the rescue effort. on thing is sure, with all these "rescue missions", we can all confirm that this administration is DISASTER!
CJ CORONA - said that while the 1987 Constitution sanctioned the impeachment process as a way to remove members of constitutional bodies such as Supreme Court justices, it had become "a partisan orgy, devoid of any mature deliberation and of lawful purpose whatsoever." This intemperate demonstration of political might is a fatal assault on the independent exercise of judicial power. Falsely branded as an attempt at checks and balances - and even accountability - we are witnessing a callous corruption of our democracy in this staged impeachment."

Chief Justice Renato Corona on Monday said the Senate should dismiss the articles of impeachment filed against him by the House of Representatives, claiming that the move to unseat him was the "handiwork" of President Benigno Aquino III and the ruling Liberal Party. "Ensuring political advantage would amply justify the allegation that President Aquino seeks to subjugate the Supreme Court."
