INQUIRER: The plot to oust Sen Pres Juan Ponce Enrile could just be a ploy to weaken the fight against the controversial reproductive health bill. "This may be a ploy to discredit the old man, to weaken the anti-RH group in the Senate," Lipa, Batangas, Arch Ramon Arguelles said Friday. "The squabble might have been instigated to remove Enrile from his post [because he is] pro-life," 

ABS-CBN: Enrile listed several of Trillanes' alleged mistakes such as pushing for a bilateral approach in the talks with China as well as accusing Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario of treasonous acts. He called out the senator for his failure to ask the Senate leadership's permission to go to China, his failure to inform the Philippine Embassy in Beijing about his visit, and his failure to submit any written report about his meetings with China. "Every senator leaving the country, whether it is government-funded or privately funded, must seek the permission of the Senate president," he said.

Last nights news disclosed that it was China who chose the Senator to be the backdoor negotiator and Penoy obligingly obeyed the same. Baka nakalimutan mo na noong inimbitahan mo si Penoy sa inyo, pagbalik sa Pinas, kinabukasan, umalis milu para magreport sa amo sa China. Palitan mo na sinosoportahan mo, binibilog ka lang.

TRILLANES - DIFFERENT COLLARS, SAME DOG:
- a manila pen coup plotter, now a senate coup plotter.
- cowardly raised his arms after smelling gunpowder, now walked out hurriedly when confronted by a senior senator.

Trillanes, who has been making the media rounds to justify his actions on the clandestine meetings with the Chinese, yapping his mouth off and vowing to oust Enrile from the Senate presidency, he mentioned certain names of senators who he said are likey to support his coup against Enrile, such as the NP senators, naming Manny Villar, and the Cayetanos, as well as LP senators, such as Franklin Drilon, although they all denied having a hand in the coup plot of Trillanes, which senators dumping Trillanes while expressing, although chances are, they were in on the coup despite their denials.

But Trillanes isn't through yet. He wants to destroy Enrile by calling him a lackey of Gloria Arroyo and a bully, both of which are not likely to work with the public. What Trillanes has not gotten his noggin is that Gloria Arroyo is no longer a hate object in this senatorial campaign. She is as passe as Ferdinand Marcos, both of whom became hate objects by the opposition in their time, and used by opposition forces to generate protest votes that would benefit them.

TRIBUNE: Pnoy - "What I remember is that I was contacted by Senator Trillanes who was in China at that time. Trillanes said he was approached by these Chines officials on the possibility of his (Trillanes) becoming the backchannel negotiator." That was certainly one of the dumb decisions Noynoy has made as he made no counter checking, nor questioned the fact that it was the Chinese choosing who the Philippine backchannel should be. That alone should have raised suspicion.

PHILSTAR: GMA to undergo more intensive physical therapy
- Former Pres and now Pamp. Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has to undergo more intensive physical therapy as the muscles holding her cervical spine have atrophied and the pain in her neck has worsened. The 65-year-old Arroyo yesterday said in her Twitter account that she will have to undergo thrice a week physical therapy at the VMMC and would have to wear her neck brace for longer periods.

STANDARD: A lawyer filed charges of treason with the Ombudsman on Friday against President Aquino and Senator Antonio Trillanes for engaging in "backdoor negotiation." with China in the territorial dispute with the Philippines over the Panatag Shoal. Oliver Lozano said the secret negotiations conducted by Trillanes on the orders of Mr. Aquino prejudiced Philippine interests and were intended to benefit China in the dispute. "Surreptitiously negotiating with Chinese officials regarding the Philippines-China dispute in order to benefit China to the prejudice of the Philippines amounted to treason," Lozano said in his complaint.
