The Palace version has reportedly also made several exceptions in relation to the sanctions that should be imposed on government officials who would be violating the provisions of the proposed law. So where is accountability then? Why should exceptions be made, especially for the President and his officials if, as claimed by them, they are not only honest, but transparent and accountable as well? And why should there be some exemptions in sanctions? But clearly, they are neither honest, transparent nor accountable. This has been shown too many times in the recent past.
