ANC: Militant group KADAMAY staged a protest by blocking the northbound lane between North EDSA and Quezon Avenue. This is to condemn the increasing poverty in the country, citing as example the suicide of UP Manila student, Kristel Tejada over unpaid tuition. KADAMAY believes, Kristel was a victim of the Aquino Administration's anti-poor programs. KADAMAY says similar protests were held in other parts of Metro Manila like C3 Road and Camarin in Caloocan, the Kasiglahan Village Highway in Rodriguez, Rizal and also in Cagayan de Oro City. KADAMAY vows to hold a bigger protest on March 25, Holy Monday in Mendiola.
