ANC: PAGASA forecasters hold presser to air their grievance over lack of benefits. They plan to hold a noise barrage. ANC will interview later at 2pm Ramon Agustin of the PH Weathermen Employees Association.
De Lima is simply a lightning rod, a smokescreen diverting our attention from who Pnoy really wanted to appoint in the 1st place. Now it's anyone but De Lima. Why do you think she still makes noise, making herself more unacceptable as CJ? The public's mind has been conditioned and now Pnoy can appoint pretty much anyone in the list, including one who will be CJ for 18 years. De Lima in return has been getting publicity, enough for her political plans.
FWRD: Their is no comparison po. GMA has sown  the foundation of economic progress. That big As... Pnoy shamelessly now claims GMA's Economic success ! Pnoy cant even have a decent gf and ignorantly runs the country by his socialist intentions. No clear economic agenda but JUST to ride on GMA's success.
De Lima is the only reason for passing the RH bill!
Padre, re RH Bill, what kind of people are we to insist on the need to pass a law telling us what to do in bed? You think the masa will use the billion peso condoms or will they either resell them or use them as party balloons? Education! Mass Housing! At tigilan na yang mga TV programs na nakakabuntis!
Hoy de Lima, magbabago na ng SC chief, di ka na kasali, MAGBAGO KA NA RIN NG UGALI MO!
de lima's defiant outburst 'Why was I singled out?' and demanding an answer from JBC betrays her character as UNFIT to serve as chief magistrate. going ballistic on rulings not favorable to her likings telegraphs her inability to lead such venerable institution. self-serving remarks like "i will be disappointed" if she's not on the short list confirms her arrogance and disrespect to anything that gets in her way.
PHILSTAR: ERNIE MACEDA - The sudden flooding last week again caught the government unprepared resulting in 92 casualties affecting 441,000 persons. Once again, thousands had to go to crowded evacuation centers. Up to now, no new plans has been completed for the dredging of Laguna de Bay after the Belgian contract was cancelled in 2010. It certainly looks like many more typhoon damages and floods will happen while the government is still trying to implement the start of a flood control program.
24 Oras: CGMA medical condition reported. Titanium plate displaced.
ANC: Businessmen not satisfied with Aquino's efforts to stop smuggling. This is according to an MBC survey. 71% are not satisfied, only 17% satisfied, 2% no response.
INQUIRER: DE LIMA ON JBC DISQUALIFICATION: 'Why was I singled out?' That is the question I want to ask them,' De Lima told reporters. "I don't know how to react," she said and then avoided  the reporters. The complaints against De Lima was filed separately by Ricardo Rivera and Fernando Perito, Nephtali Aliposa, both about De Lima's alleged defiance in following a Supreme Court TRO issued November 2011 when she stopped former Pres Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her husband Jose Miguel "Mike" Arroyo.
INQUIRER.net Group airs concern over JBC rules suspension
- The Supreme Court Appointments Watch (SCAW) expressed concern over the proposed suspension of the JBC rules that disqualify candidates with pending cases. "The art of rebuilding credibility within the judiciary is a transparent and consistent application of the rules in the nomination and selection of our magistrates. The JBC cannot play loose with its rules," the SCAW said in its letter to the JBC sent Monday. The same rule, it pointed out, was used in 2009 against the Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera, who was disqualified for the Supreme Court Associate Justice post.
