Re: Impeachment Express - Briefly, CJ is right with PNoy admins creeping dictatorial tendencies. His lawyer adviser are riding on popularity, not constitutionality. The impeachment express, while apparently popular, is founded on "the end justifies the means" principle. A public officer who, in the performance of his official duties, does not read and study any document to which he affixes his signature is a virtual mercenary who is guilty of betrayal of the public trust. The basic question, therefore, is: Did the 188 legislators who signed the 57-page complaint for impeachment in 3 1/2 hours actually read and study what they indorsed? Obviously NOT. Ergo, the proceeding before the Senate is tainted with violation of the respondent's right to fundamental fairness which is the essence of due process of law. - Alan Paguia
This administration is an expert in using the string of the purse to meets its objectives. This is what the people must watch out for because the officials running this govt are experts in plating a dirty game and they may use this as the impeachment trial begins in January. The nation should offer prayers for the Senators that they may be guided by godly wisdom and see through the evil behind these events.

RADIO VERITAS - Malolos Bishop Jose Oliveros said Corona's impeachment by President Benigno Aquino III's allies in the House of Representatives was "politically motivated" and "disrespectful" to the Supreme Court. "I'm [saddened] by the turn of events and surprised at the speed [of the impeachment]. ... They say Malacañang had nothing to do with this, but it is very clear that they had a hand in this."

Who has a direct line to God? Does God say you are right and everyone else is wrong? How can we encourage the path of "tuwid na daan" when doing so will just lead us to impeachment and unconstitutional arrest. First it was Tiangco, now it's Mandanas - Kabayan interviewed Mandanas he is angry and he told Mar Roxas that he is resigning as liberal. Bakit daw siya pipirma sa impechment na unconstitution at di pinabasa to him.- it is heartwarming we still have dignified voices of integrity soaring above partisan politics - IS THERE NO ONE ELSE?
CJ Corona: Corona said he had patiently tried to work with the President but that he could not understand why the latter was furious at him "Whenever we met, I tried to let him know that we should coordinate with and help each other for the country. CJ Corona: Corona dismissed Malacañang's statements that his impeachment concerned only himself and was not an affront to the Supreme Court as an institution. "This is a big lie. There's no truth that they were only after Renato Corona. Their real motive is to destroy the judiciary, undermine democracy and enforce the rules of the "king", he said. Does the end justify the means? what if after the injustices and humiliations P-Noy caused CGMA in her family, and in the end she's proven innocent? CJ Corona after all, can't be proven guilty of all the impeachable charges and retains his being our Chief Justice, how would P-Noy look as Pres? A cruel and ruthless Pres in the likes of Hiltler and Marcos no less. Let's all wake up! Support our call for justice for CGMA and CJ Corona. please pass.
The 14-0 unaimous Hacienda Luisita verdict was the proverbial straw that broke the Haciendero's back, so to speak. It wasn't about the t.r.o-m.r. showdown, not about election sabotage, not about GMA plunder. The Supreme Court is the last blastion of democracy. Its wrong for lacierda to say that administration took 1 and half years not to do anything and gave cj corona the benefit of the doubt - lets remind him that it was aquino who drew first blood by showing his personal prejudgment by his action of not taking his oath from cj corona, a constitutional practice by tradition.
