MANILA STANDARD: Arroyo urges Filipinos to unite in a message.
- Former Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Tuesday urged Filipinos to unite and work to heal the wounds caused by political bickering. "It is my fervent hope that we will be truly united in the pursuit of of long-lasting happiness and prosperity," said Arroyo, who celebrates on Thursday. "Let us pray so hard that wounds will be healed soon, with faith and resolve to help one another and move as a nation towards a brighter future." Arroyo also expressed hopes that the people will be spared calamities and troubles as an offshoot of the divisiveness and disunity in the political arena.
