PHILSTAR: A TV report said the Sandiganbayan First Division laid down SIX CONDITIONS for Arroyo's visit to the cemetery. The court said the now Pamp rep should be transported to the Libingan ng mga Bayani from the VMMC NOT LATER than 8:30 a.m. and may stay at the cemetery  NO longer that six hours from the time of her arrival. The court also BANNED media interviews and that expenses INCURRED by the PNP for transporting and escorting Arroyo to the cemetery would be SHOULDERED by the former president. Arroyo was also directed to POST P1 MILLION cash bond within the day.

PHILSTAR: No apology from SC over TRO booboo Lawyer Ma. Victoria Gleoresty Guerra, acting chief of the SC public information office, blamed the gaffe on supposed "miswording" in the TRO issued by the SC Third Division in favor of Arroyo's co-accused, former Commission on Audit Intelligence Fund Unit head Nilda Plaras. Guerra was referring to the phrase "among others" that was attached to the name of Plaras in the SC resolution, which she interpreted as applicable also to Arroyo.

What good are all those credit rating upgrades, after all, if no investors come because of the difficulty of negotiating with this administration? Even if all the international ratings agencies say that the Phils is a good place to invest in, the experience of the emir of Qatar - and dissenting opinions like recent WB report on how difficult it is to do business in this country - will always give investors pause. Ratings agencies, after all, do not bring in the money that generates jobs, taxes and economic grown.

PHILSTAR: Sandiganbayan grants GMA plea to visit parents' graves
- The Sandiganbayan yesterday granted the request of former President and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to visit her parents' graves on All Saints' Day tomorrow. The former president filed a motion before the court, saying she wants to pay her respects to her deceased parents, former President Diosdado Macapagal and Evangelina Macapagal. Arroyo said since she has not been convicted of any crime, she is "presumed to be innocent even in respect of the present offense charged against her before this Honorable Court."
