The DPWH flood control master plan for Metro Manila and nearby provinces - which has a total proposed budget of P352 BILLION - has been included in the agency's budget allocation for 2013. But in a REPORT FURNISHED to the PDI, the DPWH's public information division said ONLY P15.8 BILLION had been allocated by the department for the master plan, among other flood control projects of the department, this year.

In a 10-page reiterative motion to the Supreme Court for the issuance of a TRO or preliminary injunction on the plunder case pending at the Sandiganbayan, Arroyo, through her lawyer Anacleto Diaz, said the Ombudsman cannot overturn a finding of the CoA that the CIFs were "lawful, necessary, regular and compliant with the rules."

On Saturday morning, more than a dozen members of Cebu's police SWAT squad were seen deployed in the area. This is in addition to the 50 other policemen who have also been deployed on a rotation basis around the Capitol to implement strict security measures  within the government center. The 4x4 vehicles in the P1.5-million price range and with 2.5 liters engines included the MITSUBISHI MONTERO, AND TOYOTA HILUX AND FORTUNER SUVS. The P137.4-million releases to Ecleo's district were the SINGLE BIGGEST PORK BARREL disbursement for a congressional constituency in that region in 2012.

Rep. Kaka Bag-ao, caretaker of the lone district of Dinagat Island, has BOUGHT SIX SUVs out of the pork barrel funds released to the constituency of fugitive former congressman Ruben Ecleo Jr. The first disbursement on Dec. 4 amounted to P30 million, of which P9 million Bag-ao allocated for the purchase of "six 4x4 utility vehicles costing P1.5 each and with an engine displacement of 2.5 liters."
