GMA7: House to defy Sandiganbayan
Gonzales said the House will not temporarily drop Mrs. Arroyo from its rolls even with an order from the anti-graft court. "If the Sandiganbayan suspends her, it will not be implemented by the House," he said.
ANC: Chief Justice Renato Corona at 2012 Forum for media on Judiciary Coverage live on ANC: I admit hindi ko palaging nagugustuhan ang report niyo but as long as fair at balanced, hindi baleng nababatikos (ako). I fervently hope you'll continue to support the Supreme court. I assure you of continuous commitment to rule of law, judicial independence.
DWIZ ISSUE: DPS ABIGAIL VALTE Commentary of Capino, Javier, J. Dela Cruz and Dulay
Goal of power summit was to sell higher rates - F. Pascual (Phil Star) "Pres Noynoy flew to Davao this week with a ready remedy and solution to Mindanao's electricity crisis. He wanted them to swallow the bitter pill of higher-priced electricity to be generated and distributed by an entrenched power cartel." "MalacaƱang "whiz kid's" odd handling of the situation has given rise to suspicion that the energy crisis was allowed to deteriorate to justify power oligarchs' descending on the darkened scene bearing adequate, tho costly  electricity."

MLA STANDARD EDITORIAL: ADO REPORT 2012
Many well-meaning observers of Philippine society, including the World Bank and the ADB itself, have been gently urging the Aquino administration to pay more attention to the work of reducing the rich-poor gap. No one can disprove the fact that when the Aquino administration took office, it took over a Philippine economy that was growing at 7.6 percent. After only a year under this administration, the economy shrank to a gross domestic product of 3.7 percent. This was the result, Budget Secretary Florencio Abad himself admitted, of the policy to constrict infrastructure spending. Other cabinet departments also virtually froze its activities in response to the Palace order to make sure that every project was transparent and free from any kind of corruption. The ADB report warns that letting inequality fester will cause instability. Indeed, the poorer regions will end up being the site of protests and even rebellions.

MLA STANDARD - JOJO ROBLES
Of course, Valte is probably not leaving her job, any more than energy Secretary Rene Almendras is expected to resign after thoroughly messing up the power crisis in Mindanao. Because the officials of the Aquino administration are, for the most part, nobodies even in their previous careers before joining government, they never had it so good since President Noynoy Aquino plucked them out of obscurity.
The golden rule is "Do to others, as if you are the others!" LP members are now in big conflicts, loyalty is not a virtue in politics, more members are planning to join VP Binay!
Statement from House Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales - It is the consistent stand of the House as provided for in the constitution that a member may be suspended only for misconduct in office by majority vote of all the members. Even in this case it must be committed during Her term as a member of the HOR. PGMA is being prosecuted for alleged acts she committed before she became a congresswoman and therefore beyond the jurisdiction of the ethics committee. Hence, any suspension order by  the Sandiganbayan will not be enforced.
GOT THIS >> Phil STAR, front page! IMF: PHL TO BE ASEAN LAGGARD - "IMF said PHL 2012 economy, GDP, will grow 4.2% compared to Indonesia's 6.1%, Vietnam's 5.6%, Thailand's 5.5% and Malaysia's 4.4%" (The forecast for 2013 is about the same).
INQUIRER - DORONILA Monologue, not dialogue, at the power summit. The summit was supposed to be a dialogue between the President and the regional leaders, in which he was expected to listen to the presentation of the region's power problems. Instead, it turned out to be a monologue where the President did most of the talking and very little listening. He arrived with a formula before he had a chance to read the presentations by sectoral groups in Friday's plenary. He asked the summit participants to have an open mind, but there was no sign of a reciprocal open mind.

To Penoy and his student council:

MLA STANDARD: Congress no time for power crisis
"Why are the senators and congressmen, all of a sudden, turning their backs on Mindanao? Is it because the JCPC chairmen are close allies of the President?" said Agham Rep. Angelo Palmones, referring to co-chairmen Senator Sergio Osmena III and Batanes Rep. Henedina Abad.

Cong. Datumanong: 09175391935
"Sandiganbayan can not suspend a member of congress. Under the constitution only the house of representatives can suspend a member for disorderly behavior and by vote of 2/3 of all the members."

ABS CBN NEWS: Binay: PNoy and I have our differences
"Hindi naman laging magkakapareho ng pag-iisip. Reality yan. Reality niyan is may pagkakataon na hindi magkakasundo," he told UKG co host Anthony Taberna.
"Sa VAT, hindi ba ako ay nagpahayag na kung pwede babaan yung kinukuha ng pamahalaan. Dahil sa tumataas na bilihin eh kung maaari bawasan yung VAT na yan. Nagkaiba ng kami diyan ng pamahalaan," he added.
PHILSTAR: Manila, Philippines - The rising prices of basic commodities, the low pay of workers, corruption, unemployment and poverty are the top concerns that Filipinos think the Aquino administration must immediately address. INQUIRER: BAGUIO CITY, Philippines - The Supreme Court has referred to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) the disbarment complaint against Justice Secretary Leila De Lima and Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda. Usually, when a disbarment complaint is filed with the Supreme Court, High Court spokesman Jose Midas Marquez said it would be either referred to the Office of the Bar Confidant or the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP). But in this case, he said it was referred to the IBP" so that it can conduct an impartial assessment or evaluation and then give its recommendation to the Supreme Court."

Dzmm: interview with comelec comm. augusto lagman.

Postscript (F. Pascual) "Palace propagandists may want to prove cynics wrong by showing that they know more than merely moving mobs to action by feeding them hate and keeping them in fighting mode." When will the cycle of retribution and vendetta end? And where will that leave our "bleeding nation?" PNoy!!! Stop saying "The fight is not over yet!!! Our economy is bleeding to death! Our urgent priority now is to bind the wounds and move our dying people and nation to stability and progress!!!!!
Gabriela party-list Rep. emmerenciana de Jesus says, "the Aquino gov't has been deaf to the plea of marginalized women to repeal EVAT and Oil deregulation Law, resulting in incessant oil price hike, power rate hike and increases in the price of basic goods and food commodities.  "She's calling for the nation to fight the perpetrators of poverty and hunger, citing the oil cartel that continues to rake in huge profits at the expense of the poor. "Amid hunger and poverty, I am asking PNoy, what are you doing for our country? While foreign troops freely enter the country, while there's still no job security and lands for our country, the lives and dignity of women and the future of our children are hopeless!"

DZRH: ENERGY SUMMIT: jonjie dimacutac
From Noynoying to a Lame duck Pres., PNoy should stop saying in his speeches that our country can only start to attend to urgent problems on poverty, crimes, hunger, unemployment and more, only if CGMA and Corona are convicted and removed from office, what a lame excuse for non-performance! Our former Pres Arroyo is sick and clipped of executive powers. She is cut from circulation even if she is still a congresswoman on record, detained and sick in hospital. As for CJ Corona, would the debilitating demolition done on his person and family by the paid hounds of MalacaƱang, he has ceased to be a hindrance to the Aquino program of govt. (If any) With these 2 key figures stalemated on the political chessboard, PNoy should look for other scapegoats to explain away his non-performance. To PNoy, stop hypnotizing us in the throes of poverty! Stop inventing your expose' (of alleged venality in the previous administration) to another expose'. !!!
