ABS-CBN NEWS: Serge blasts PNoy anew for 'teka-teka' attitude

- Administration ally Sen. Sergio Osmena III scored President Benigno Aquino anew on Tuesday for what he described as his "teka-teka" attitude, which he said has affected the Chief Executive's performance. Osmena said not a single public-private partnership program has started since Aquino assumed the presidency in 2010. Even the power problem remains unsolved, said osmena, chairman of the committee on energy.

PHILSTAR BREAKING NEWS: Ombudsman violated procurement law - COA

- State auditors have found that the Office of the Ombudsman had violated the procurement law in the purchase of information technology (IT) equipment. The Commission on Audit  (COA) has recommended sanctions against those responsible. In a 2012 report released yesterday, state auditors said the anti-graft agency's Military and Other Law Enforcement Offices (MOLEO) division did not conduct public biddings.

Political analyst Dindo Manhit said the problem with the President is he relies too much on his men. Unfortunately, some of  them are incompetent and unreliable in their respective job due to lack of experience or knowledge  in their assigned fields, Manhit noted. The President noticeably is poor in choosing the right person for the job. He prefers best friends and shooting and drinking buddies for a particular job over those career officers and experienced ones. Yet when these men fail on  the job, the President never removes or replaces them unless there is a public outcry for their relief.

Denying Arroyo not only needed treatment abroad, but also healing relief from detention, and enough daily sunlight to build bone - this endangers her life and well-being. It is something the state may not do even to a convicted offender, let alone an accused presumed innocent and with flimsy evidence against her.
