STANDARD: OUTAGES TO COST ADMIN BETS POLITICAL FALLOUT IN 2013 POLLS
- Maguindanao Rep. Simeon Datumanong said support for the administration's candidates will be put to a severe test in Mindanao given the ongoing power shortage and the prospects for higher rates there. House Dep Min Leader and Zamb. Rep Milagros Magsaysay said electricity was a politically sensitive issue and could determine the outcome of the elections in Mindanao in 2013, Magsaysay said the government's inefficient handling of the Mindanao power crisis could spell strategic political setbacks for the administration.
STANDARD- Bong Austero - the summit once again illustrated this administration's penchant for justifying everything it does with the all-encompassing mantra of "good intentions" When questioned or criticized, most people in this administration go into an impassioned discourse about how we should all be grateful even for incompetence simply because they are more moral, or that they are doing what they are doing for the common good.
INQUIRER: DORONILA- On Friday, Presidente Benigno Aquino III came down to Mindanao, which is plagued by rolling brownouts, all but aimed a shotgun on the head of the people of the island, and announced that the era of cheap electricity was over fro them. No one in the conference took the government's solution as a quid pro quo for "a real public service" No one applauded the speech, and the silence was thunderous.
Goal of power summit ws to sell higher rates - F. Pascual (Phil Star) "Pres. Noynoy flew to Davao this week. Would a ready remedy and solution to Mindanao's electricity crisis. He wanted them to swallow the bitter pill of higher-priced electricity to be generated and distributed by an entrenched power cartel." "Malacanang " whiz kid's" odd handling of the situation has given rise to suspicion that the energy crisis was allowed to deteriorate to justify power oligarchs' descending on the adequate, the costly, electricity."

DZMM Reporter:
BLOG: I am looking forward to that day that this will happen-domino effect just to save our country from a vindictive and selfish leadership of Aquino! I hope those 188 who are running in next year election will not be elected anymore! This coming election people need to go and vote and show Aquino that we had enough and our country is bleeding profusely from Noynoying!
BLOG: This administration is not helping itself any. It doesn't seem to know how to. by making it difficult for representatives to collect their pork, they are alienating the congressmen, who may choose to turn balimbing yet again. Whatever, let it happen. However. We've had enough of this noynoying administration.
BLOG: the very tragic part of it all is that he never hesitates to use all his powers against his political enemies but will never lift a figer to serve the people. but is always ready with a mouthful of excuses to give & people to blame to cover up for all his noynoying.
BLOG: This non performing President must cut and cut clean, he is running this country through press releases, propaganda and mind set speeches of no worth. We the people are now suffering from inadequacy of government services, continues rising prices of fuel, electricity, basic commodities. It seems hopeless indeed.

INQUIRER: De Lima meddling with Comelec vs Abalos, says lawyer

Lawyer Brigido Dulay said in an interview that De Lima was meddling with the Comelec's handling of the electoral sabotage case against Susan Radam and Yogi Martirizar, former election supervisors of South and North Cotabato, respectively.
