remember that aside from the death of ninoy, it was an election issue that quickly dismantled the marcos dictatorship. when namfrel volunteers walked out during the counting of the rigged snap elections. history may repeat itself now that we are confronted with the biggest and massive electoral fraud in our history. ironically, the YELLOW ARMY that were the beneficiaries of the dictator's downfall ARE THE ONES DOING IT NOW.
Surprise!
Starting Wednesday until May 13, the Comelec is imposing a ban on cash withdrawals of more than P100,000 from banks and other financial institutions. The Comelec announced Tuesday the unprecedented move, which it kept UNDER WRAPS until FIVE days before election. The Comelec said it wants to stop vote-buying on Election Day.

MLA BULLETIN: Arroyo's lawyers stressed this yesterday after former Gabriela Rep. Lisa Maza, one of the complainants in the case, told the Sandiganbayan Fourth Division that her main basis in filling the case against the former President, her husband, Atty. Jose Miguel Arroyo, former Chairman Benjamin Abalos, and former Transportation Secretary Leandro Mendoza, was the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee report which conducted an investigation on the deal in 2007. Lawyer Lawrence Arroyo, counsel of the former President, said all that was presented was hearsay evidence. "It was all hearsay. They heard it from other people. They don't have any personal knowledge on the deal but based only what other people, specifically from the opposing side, had told them," Arroyo said.
TRIBUNE: Liza Maza: When asked by Ruy Rondain, counsel of the former FG, if she also sought to clarify the allegations from any of the accused in the case, Maza said she did not. She also admitted that she and her other complainants in the case, namely Bayan Muna Rep. Teddy Casiño and Bayan Muna Chairman Carol Araullo, deliberately did not include the former Speaker and his son as respondents in the complaint they filed despite the fact that the Senate report also included them as culpable for graft and corruption.

ANC: Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes says, the actress and youngest sister of Pres Aquino, may be held liable for vote buying. This, after Kris Aquino revealed in a press conference that she gave P1,000 to a Cebu cab driver as fare and told the driver to keep the change. Kris reportedly grew fond of the driver after she said he will vote for Francis Escudero, Grace Poe, and Bam Aquino, all being endorsed by Kris.
ANC: watchdog kontra daya sees a repeat of the 2010 elections where massive disenfranchisement, failure of elections in some areas and chaos in election precincts were experienced. kontra daya spokesman nardy sabino says the final testing and sealing process yielded numerous technical glitches, jamming of pcos machines, incompatible pcos and manual counting that shows there are serious lapses which the comelec failed to address.
Antonhy Taberna on DZMM: Nakakalungkot.
anc: United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial bet Richard Gordon urged the Supreme Court to compel the Comelec to obtain the source code of the automated election system (AES) to be used in the May polls. In his 21-page petition for writ of mandamus filed on Friday afternoon, Gordon, along with the Bagumbayan-VNP Movement, Inc., argued that the Comelec is duty-bound to comply with Sec 14 of Republic Act (RA) No. 8436 (Automation Law), as amended by RA No. 9369, which states that the poll body should make the source code available and open to any interested political party or groups which may conduct their own review of it.
