govt should explain: with govt crowing about the GDP's surge to 7.1% - the reports say that 2.8 million Filipinos remain unemployed while 8.5 million are underemployed. without income, hunger is next. growing remittances cannot be an achievement of the govt - it is attributed to an ever increasing Filipinos seeking jobs abroad since none are offered here. BPOs and OFW remittances are not permanent as they are directly related to an ailing world economy. bottom line is the scarcity of food on the table and not "feel-good releases."
