ANC: About 2 weeks after declining her appointment as Comelec commissioner due to family reasons, election lawyer Bernadette Sardillo filed a petition seeking the inhibition of Comelec Comm Grace Padaca from handling her own electoral protest of Faustino Dy's election as Isabela Governor. Padaca lost to Dy in the 2010 elections but accused Dy of fraud. The protest remains pending in the poll body, even after Padaca assumed office in mid-October 2012. Sardillo is Dy's legal counsel. Dy's camp asserts, Padaca cannot sit as judge in a case where she is protestant.
