PHILSTAR: PCSO SPENT P1.072 BILLION FOR ADVERTISING IN 2011, according to a COA report released recently. State auditors questioned the spending by the PCSO, noting that the amount represents 72 PERCENT of its total MODE. "Instead of spending this much on advertising expenses, some amounts should have been used more meaningfully for CHARITY PURPOSES and that more indigent patients could have directly benefited, considering PCSO's mandate to raise funds for health and charity programs," the COA report said.
