MLA STANDARD: The Ombudsman on Wednesday dismissed with finality the plunder case filed against former Pres Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and other former Cabinet officials in connection with the P1.2-billion sale and disposition of the Iloilo airport to Megaworld Corp. due to "utter lack of merit and evidence." "There is absolutely nothing on record that supports a finding that a public officer was the ultimate beneficiary of the sale of the Iloilo Airport," Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales ruled.
