BUSINESSWORLD: Exports growth streak snapped in January
- OUTBOUND merchandise shipments fell for the first time in five months in January, the National Statistics Office (NSO) yesterday reported, weighed down by a huge drop in electronics exports. Preliminary NSO data placed the dip at an annual 2.7% to $4.01 billion. The result was also reversal of the 3.0% growth registered a year earlier and was the lowest since August 2012's 9.0% fall.
