ANC: TEDITORIAL: After bemoaning Martial Law and mourning the assassination of Ninoy for defending Filipino freedom, the president signed the measure into law. As in Ninoy's funeral, there are massive protests but they are virtual, the corpse however is real. It is the cadaver of freedom of speech. Not press freedom or broadcast freedom which is the freedom of their owners but the speech of common folk savvy with computers who once upon a time believe there was a place they could call their own, where they could speak their minds as they without government permission.
