ABS-CBN: Poll fraud witness lying, GMA lawyer says - The camp of former Pres Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Thursday accused Norie Unas of fabricating his testimony against Arroyo to save himself from criminal prosecution. Unas, on direct examination before the Pasay Regional Trial court, said he overhead Arroyo tell his principal, former Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan Sr., to ensure the victory of the administration candidates in the 2007 elections "kahit ayusin o palitan nyo ang resulta." "It should be noted that he admitted during the hearing that he feared being implicated in the case, which made him decide to come out and testify," Lambino said.
