STANDARD: Atty. Benjamin Santos said the governement's star witness, Norie Unas, had admitted in court he had no proof that could link Arroyo to the election officials or to the tampering of the results of the senatorial elections in 2007
Santos said Unas had offered to testify against Arroyo to ingratiate himself with the Aquino administration and to escape prosecution form the murders in which he has been implicated. "Unas, credibility is highly suspect," Santos said. "His testimony is completely uncorroborated and self-serving."
