There is a new culture in the Liberal Party (LP) that is shocking the nation today. Losing LP Senatorial candidate Neric Acosta was suspended by Sandiganbayan for acts of corruption. In his motion to quash the suspension, he said, that he cannot be suspended as he is a Presidential appointee and suspending him will be tantamount to suspending President Aquino. And that Sandiganbayan has no jurisdiction over Presidential appointees. Wow ha! Is LP now amending RA 3019, otherwise known as Anti Graft and Corrupt Practices Act? What a display of arrogance and intoxicating power.
