Superstition or Intrigue? Pres Cory Aquino was singled out by her political enemies for being "malas,) a succession of natural calamities had fallen upon our country during her presidency:
1. Nov 1987, Typhoon Sisang w/c killed almost a thousand people
2. July 1990, destructive Luzon earthquake, that reduced Baguio to rubble and left more than 1,500 people dead;
3. June 1991, Mt. Pinatubo Volcano that exploded with devastating fury;
4. Nov 1991, Typhoon Uring blew across Ormoc Leyte, causing floods that killed about 8,000 people
Cory's presidency came to be equated with man-made and natural disasters - power interruptions, coups, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, killers floods and destructive typhoons.
We are beginning to see that PNoy is treading the same pattern, di kaya dahil sa daang baluktot ay puro "malas" ang dinadanas natin sa administrasyon Noynoy Aquino?
