ABS CBN- Former president and now Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Monday condoled with victims of tropical storm Sendong in Mindanao and urged Filipinos to pray for the victims. In a handwritten statement released to reporters,  Arroyo joined the country in sending condolences to  flood victims in Cagayan de Oro and other parts of  Mindanao. She particularly singled out the devastation in Iligan City where she said,  she spent a lot of time when she was a child. Arroyo spent her childhood in Iligan where her family maintains an ancestral house.
Sana ang  lahat ay mga alay ng dasal para sa kanilang kaligtasan," she said, Mrs. Arroyo also urged her fellow officials to  do away with misunderstandings and band together to help victims of  the tragedy.
