TRIBUNE: LARRY FARAON - RICHIE RICH PINOY - If we are actually a rich country pretending to be poor, how come 40% of our people are NOT pretending and are actually savagely POOR? we can expand in this country and lend our dollar reserves to European economies, but the fact remains that much of the poverty of this country is not the informal settlers, the unemployed, the street urchins we see everyday, but the glaring CORRUPTION and FAILURE in governance of this present administration. What sound economy would pride itself of transitory cash outputs of the much ballyhooed DOLE OUT program of CCT, outsourcing, and OFWs while NEGLECTING the more SOLID base of agriculture and industry and local technological research and development. NOT even a SURPLUS wealth would MEAN a SOUND economy.
