GMA7: Prosecutors favor bail hearings for Gloria Arroyo in hospital
- Prosecutors are agreeable to having the bail proceedings in the graft case involving former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo held at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, where the embattled former state leader is currently under hospital arrest. Government lawyers cited humanitarian reasons for its decision, noting that Arroyo requires medical care for her bone mineral disorder. It would also spare the government the expense of arranging security measures for Arroyo when she is taken to the Sandiganbayan.
