IMPEACHMENT VS. CJ CORONA (2:50-2:55 -ANC) Impeachment trial highlights
- Santiago to prosecution: you are prejudging the case; what are you doing? Conducting a trial by publicity?
- Santiago: the people will not decide this case but the Impeachment court.
- Santiago: In my entire career as RTC judge, I've never seen a lawyer in a civil case withdrawal a case.
- Santiago: This is not a direct democracy and we are not in Athens! The people are not going to decide this case.
- Santiago: Are you withdrawing the articles or waiving a right to present evidence on them? If waived, you have to amend complaint.
- Santiago: Marso palang, nagpapalit na kayo ng isip. I'm very concerned this might constitute unethical behavior.
