Does President Benigno Aquino III realize that the Corona impeachment trial could be the tipping point of his presidency" And what if Corona is acquitted - right now likely, because 16 out of the 23 senators are needed to convict him? Malacañang has placed all its eggs in one basket by going against Corona. The flawed logic is based on the premise that if the Supreme Court is no longer controlled by Arroyo appointees, the Executive and all its lapdogs in Congress can do whatever they please. That is, assuming that Mr. Aquino remains as popular as he is right now.
