The report of Manila Standard Today's senior reporter Christine Herrera last Wednesday is revealing. She wrote that Akbayan Rep. Arlene Kaka Bag-ao, one of the five principal complaints who collated the data used in the impeachment complaint, had admitted that they worked closely with Malacañang officials in finalizing the draft of the impeachment complaint. Herrera quoted Bag-ao as saying: "The President has spoken. All we did was put together the data and the Palace provided us with some suggestions and issues that the President found to be stumbling block in initiating reforms."
