- SOME P1 Billion of the P5.78 billion in unliquidated funds of the Agriculture Department became part of the campaign kitty for the administration's senatorial candidates in the 2013 elections, including the son of Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala, a lawyer and a former mayor said Tuesday. Sanlakas lawyer and a former Argee Guevarra, who filed plunder charges against Alcala, said the Agriculture secretary even hired Sanlakas members as ward leaders to mount a massive campaign push for the administration's Team Pnoy senatorial slate.
