question on foreign relations:
why can't we be friends to both the US and China? why do we have choose one over the other? why are other countries friends to both? bullies? ALL superpowers are bullies and that includes UK, Russia, France and Japan. who bullied whom first? mishandling deaths of HK hostages with no apologies? sending a warship to board wayward Chinese poachers? shooting a Taiwanese fisherman? and we condemn China for being a bully? now don't bring patriotism into the picture. patriotism is not about false pride. it is about exhausting all efforts for the well being of our republic. and we beg for clemency for convicted drug mules caught in their country? and we gloat over the remittances sent by ofws working for them? ano ba talaga gusto natin?
