ANC: CamSur Rep. Dato Arroyo has filed a bill penalizing unscrupulous photographers and videographers who trespass properties to capture images or other reproductions of people's private lives for comm purposes. Arroyo co-authored House Bill 1390, with former pres now Pamp Rep. Gloria M. Arroyo. The proposed bill says some people take the act of trespassing to a whole new and different level by utilizing available high-tech gadgets with very intrusive modern visual or auditory enhancement devices, such as powerful telephoto lenses and hyperbolic microphones that enable invasion of private properties. "Due to these developments harassment and trespassing threaten not only public persons and their families, but also private persons and their families whose personal tragedies or circumstances beyond their control create media interest.
