Businessman Roberto Ongpin described as "amusing" the statement of the lawyer representing BSP deputy gov. Nestor Espenilla that the BSP official is being "persecuted" by the former trade minister because he has been singled out of the three-man AMLC. "I understand very well that the AMLC is a collegial body, but of the three officials in it, only deputy governor Espenilla during the Senate hearings last year stated under oath that the DBP loans to Ongpin were 'PRUDENT,' 'POSITIVE,' AND MADE A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE DBP
