MLA STANDARD: JOJO ROBLES - INSANE after reporting last week that Aquino threw away $ 1.5 billion in investments from two middle eastern countries by being rude to the visiting emir of Qatar, I am inclined to believe that Aquino is desperately trying to protect big local business from foreign competitors, at the expense of job generating and poverty-alleviating investments from abroad. Of course, given Aquino's lack of focus on growing the economy, it's also perfectly possible that he's just noynoying on the job once again.
Or it could be both, for all we know. Either way, it's the economy - and the Filipinos who should benefit from its growth- that suffers.
