- The US State Department and the government of Austria are investigating the shipment of Glock pistols to the Philippines, including 28,000 units that arrived in Manila on Sept. 4, Agham Rep Angelo Palmones revealed Monday. Palmones chided Usec. Rico Puno and PNP Chief Nicanor Bartolome for not doing "serious due diligence" on the winning bidder, Trust Trade, when intelligence reports about the company had been sent to them.
