PHILSTAR: P-Noy scraps judiciary allowances in 2013 budget - Pres Aquino has scrapped the monthly allowances for justices and judges based on the proposed P2-trillion national budget for next year now being scrutinized in the House of Re. Assoc Justice Presbitero Velasco and Court Admin Midas Marquez protested the scrapping of their allowances during a hearing on the proposed P17.7-billion budget for the judiciary for next year by the House approp comm. They said they want the allowances restored in the proposed budget for next year.
