PHILSTAR: Vice President Jejomar Binay agreed with Mupas that the evidence presented by prosecutors against the former president is weak. Binay said bail is granted to an accused if the evidence presented is weak, even if the case is a capital offense.
"In court,even if the charge is a capital offense, like election violation, regardless of the fact that the penalty is capital punishment once the evidence is weak, bail is granted," Binay said.
