GMA News: The DFA has reminded all govt agencies not to refer to sabah as being part of malaysia due to an existing phil claim over the resource-rich territory now controlled by the Malaysian govt. DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez said an order issued in 2008 by then-president Gloria Arroyo prohibited officials references to sabah as belonging to Malaysia.

TRIBUNE: CHARLIE MANALO - GROUP RENEWS CALL TO JUNK GOV'T DOLEOUT PROGRAM SCHEME - With no less than the World Bank (WB) saying that the Aquino administration's anti-poverty program failed to impact significant effects on the supposed beneficiaries, the Anakpawis party-list yesterday renewed its call for the abolition of the CCT. Citing reports from the state auditors; in 2011 there was a decline on the CCT beneficiaries compared to 2010 which at the same time the Department Social Welfare and Development has yet to report the missing P3.77 billion in disbursements.
ANC: Anakpawis renews its call for the scrapping of the Conditional Cash Transfer or CCT program, urging the Aquino Administration to instead invest on practical and concrete measures to fight poverty. The party-list cites a recent World Bank report that said, the CCT program failed to impact significant effects on the beneficiaries. Anakpawis says the the World Bank observation only confirmed what activists have warned all along about the CCT. Aside from being ineffective and expensive, the group asserts that the CCT also lacks transparency and accountability.
