TRIBUNE: Noy aides rachet up damage control

These efforts by Malacañang were evident as the Pres Comm Office brought one Cabinet secretary after the other into the daily press briefing to explain the Sabah incident in the Malacañang Press Center. Aquino spokesman Edwin Lacierda defended their actions, claiming that their presence during the briefing was not due to the highly negative feed back being received in Aquino and his aides' handling of the crisis.

ABS-CBN NEWS: Was ship's arrival timed with Mar visit?
A PDI report earlier said a Navy ship that carried Filipino evacuees from Sabah deliberately slowed down to time its arrival at Bongao, Tawi-Tawi with the arrival of
Roxas. The report said the ship was supposed to dock at 6 a.m. Wed but stopped at mid-sea for about 4 hours Tues night so that it would arrive at the port  at 9:30 a.m. Roxas was already at the port when the ship arrived. Roxas has denied asking that the boat's arrival be timed with his visit.

PHILSTAR: Comelec lawyer Charlie Lim Yap told reporters after yesterday's hearing that the testimony of their first witness has strengthened their case of alleged cheating in the province of Maguindanao province during the 2007 midterm elections. Defense lawyer Ben Santos, legal counsel of Arroyo, said that Cabanban admitted during cross-examination that there was NO CHEATING and that she had NO personal knowledge if other people committed fraud.

INQUIRER: Sabah crisis seen to diminish Aquino's magic
- The manner by how the administration handled the dispute over Sabah will most likely affect President Benigno Aquino III's endorsement power for Team PNoy. Zambales Representative Milagros Mitos Magsaysay criticized the Aquino admin for its alleged failure to protect Filipinos in Sabah from abuses by Malaysian security forces. Magsaysay also blasted Aquino for displaying "pride and arrogance" when he sent an emissary to hold talks with the Kiram family.
