If nothing is received by her office, there is no waiver. If ever, it is the office of the SC that has the authority to look into the bank records.

The "waiver" supposed attached in every SALN after it has been signed should have no force and effect as it is likened to a contract of Adhesion where one of the parties have no participation in the preparation of it. Assuming true that OMB's claim that the SALN when signed and submitted is a waiver authorizing her to look into the bank record of said individual (CJ), the same should be taken with caution. She might have forgotten admitting that SALN of Justices remained with the SC and never filed to her office.

COMMON SENSE RE CJ WAIVER:
1) It is an admission that there is an existing law re bank secrecy; a waiver is needed and disclosure without consent is illegal. otherwise why will they ask if they believe that the ombudsman's act is perfectly legal?
2) If CJ will sign the waiver, they won't be accountable for violating the law since CJ signed the waiver himself.
3)it is a desperate attempt to re-enter the ill-gotten wealth accusation already rejected by the important court but being "camouflaged" as non disclosure or non-inclusion of assets in CJ's SALN.

TRIBUNE: The senator-judges who many people know would be voting for a conviction of impeached CJ Renato Corona continue to claim that
(a) he must sign a waiver of all his bank accounts; (b) he must explain his dollar accounts; (c) he must explain why he failed to include these in his assets-despite the fact that the CJ had already stated that he would appear before the Senate court in testify before the same court. Others how are clearly pro-conviction suddenly turn and say their vote would be based on the moral fitness of the CJ - as though one senator-judge is the epitome of morality. The truth is that from the start, several senator-judges allied with Noynoy Aquino, certainly already had their conviction vote fixed in their mind, w/c means, nothing that the CJ says will change their vote - NOT even the TRUTH.

STANDARD: On thurs Sen Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said there was no mystery as to the "grand conspiracy" among gov't agencies to produce evidence against chief magistrate. "There were not even false pretenses. The grand conspiracy has become public policy." "The entire administration is not bothering to hide it anymore that nothing is more important to them than the impeachment trial & the conviction of CJ Corona. Everything takes a backseat." Marcos said the laws guaranteeing human rights were no protection if gov't officials were willing to break them.

STANDARD: Sen. Pres Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada said the administration had proved that the vice president, the senators and all politicians down to the lowly gov't employee could be vulnerable  2 attack once they offended the President. "What this government is doing is alarming and worrisome," Estrada said.  "If they can do that to the chief justice, then all of us have a reason to worry. Even if you have nothing to hide, they will throw everything at you. "

yellow media working double time with a non-stop "destroy corona" campaign. note their top stories floating INC's lobbying of cj acquittal; resurfacing of alleged basa-guidote family feud; alleged popular demand to sign a waiver; that mrs corona planning to leave the country; that cj will not bare all; that he will resign or turn a state witness. from day one, we can see the grand conspiracy mounted by the yellow army, yellow media and yellow occupants of the palace and the legislative - all being done to a man and the institution that he represents to recover a lost family jewel - hacienda luisita.

the "foggy" powerpoint presentation of the ombudsman was done intentionally - to generate media headlines of cj corona having 82 dollar accounts with "fresh" deposits of $12 million. a 'shock and awe' strategy meant to confuse the public, cast doubts on the minds of sen-judges thereby destroying the gains made by the defense. it's outrageous that the office of the ombudsman, coa and amlc connived to commit such shameless act. with these people around, may God have mercy!!
